CONFERENCE GOALS

The 5th International Conference on Friction stir Welding (FSWP 2017) will bring together all the FSW actors to the field in an international forum that addresses recent advances in friction stir welding and related processes. Presentations concerning all the steps are welcome from fundamental studies to applied aspects, from experimental to numerical research.The current conference aims to present the state of art together with the latest advances of Friction Stir Welding and Processing:

  • New developments in processes and control
  • High-temperature materials
  • Fundamentals and modelling
  • Metallurgical characteristics
  • Mechanical properties
  • Dissimilar materials joining
  • Tools and Process Industrialization
  • Industrial applications
  • Etc.

 


PAPER SUBMISSION

The official language of the conference is English. Authors wishing to present a contribution are kindly requested to submit an abstract of approximately 150 words including title, author names, affiliation, and keywords. Upon acceptance of the abstract, authors will be kindly requested to submit an extended abstract of approximately 2 pages. All submissions will be made online through the webpage of the conference. Word templates will be available on the conference website.
